New Male Client Homework

Pre-Consultation Homework

Welcome, I look forward to working with you.

As you navigate through this page, you will notice there are 2 areas of homework to complete at least 24 hours prior to your session with me;

  1. Questionnaire Form- you will need to fill out and submit
  2. Pinterest Style Board- for you to create via Pinterest.com

Once I have received all of your homework we are ready to go!

If you have booked in a Wardrobe Update Package, you will need to prepare your wardrobe using the preparation notes at the bottom of this page, prior to our first session to give you the most value out of our time together.

Step 1- Complete the Pre-Consult Questionnaire Form

Please fill out your pre-consultation questionnaire form here. This may take between 10-20 minutes to complete. Please have your body shape & head shot images ready to upload to save you time.

HEADSHOT IMAGE GUIDELINES –

  • The best way to take your headshot- I’ve used natural light from the window which faces my face.
  • Please use an iPhone if you can. If you can’t find an iPhone to take the photo, you will need to notify Josephine which type of camera/phone you will be using. The reason for this is that there are filters in other phones like Samsung & Android phones that don’t show up the natural colours
  • No glasses for the photo please.
  • Always face towards the natural light rather than the light facing behind you, as it will create shadowing.
  • Avoid taking photos outside in direct sunlight even if it’s overcast
  • Don’t take the image with your lighting on your face as they could alter your complexion in the images eg; yellow based lights makes you appear warm skin toned, blue white based light makes you appear cool skin toned.

*Please note that the lighting in your photos you send through can alter your results with the colours I recommend to you, so it is best to use natural light and an iPhone so that we nail your colours!

FULL LENGTH BODY SHOT GUIDELINES-

  • The best way to take your full body shots-  Standing front onto the camera/mirror and have at least one arm by your side.
  • Please wear: for men: no top/shirt with shorts or fitted bottoms.
Take front on and side on If you can only do front on shot, that is fine. You can either selfie in a full length mirror, phone facing up right (not angled from above) or if you have someone at home who can take them, then great.

*Please note that the full length body shot images that you send through may alter your body shape analysis and results, which effects everything so please follow the instructions when taking the photos.

Step 2- Create Your Pinterest Style Board

  1. Sign Up on Pinterest: If you haven’t already, go to Pinterest.com and create a free account. It only takes 2 minutes.
  2. Create Your Style Board: Once your account is set up, make a board dedicated to your styling session. Name it using your first name, such as ‘John’s Style Board’.
  3. Start Pinning: Browse through the pre-pinned boards provided by me below OR explore on your own (search key words like ‘classic mens style’ or ‘Navy blue mens outfits’ as examples. To ‘Pin’ your favorite outfits and styles:-On both desktop and mobile, hover over the image and click the red ‘Save’ button.-Choose your style board to save to.
  4. Add Me as a Collaborator: Email me at Josephine.eve.stylist@gmail.com to add me as a collaborator.
  5. What to Pin: Save anything that inspires you, even if it’s just parts of an outfit you like. Don’t worry if it doesn’t match your body shape perfectly as we will find other ways to use that inspiration.

Click the pre-made boards below (both have a range of multiple styles) and save your favourites to your board.

Wardrobe Edit Preparation

(Wardrobe Update Package clients only- this does not apply to Personal Shopping Package clients).

Before your Wardrobe Edit session please make sure that:

  • You have all of your shoes lined up (unboxed) next to each other on the floor where they won’t get in the way.
  • All items from the wash need to be dried in time so that we don’t miss out any pieces to style/edit
  • All items in the one room/wardrobe if possible so we don’t miss anything out.
  • You have some large black plastic garbage bags available as we will be filling these up with pieces that no longer make you happy and giving them away to others or charity.
